Preserving the Lives of a Hillside Community _Sudoguksan Museum of Art
Sudoguksan Museum of Art was established to preserve and remember the everyday lives of ordinary people who once lived in the hillside village of Sudoguksan.
The museum centers on the authentic stories and daily experiences of residents from this historic community, presenting Korea’s modern and contemporary history in an accessible and engaging way. Through thoughtfully curated exhibitions, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the nation’s social and cultural development.
Following an expansion that began in October 2023, the museum reopened on March 1, 2026, offering an even more immersive and enjoyable experience of Korea’s modern history.
For this project, lighting design was implemented using spotlights and lens spotlights to effectively highlight exhibits and enhance the overall visitor experience.
